This is most applicable when sending messages during off-hours for your recipients which may be outside of core hours, nights, weekends, before/after their workday starts, and/or while they are out of office. Practice mindful communications and consider whether it is critical to send a message at this exact moment or if it is best to Delay Send/Deliver to your intended recipient(s) at another time - perhaps the next workday, later the same day, or at a later date to be respectful of work/life boundaries, be inclusive of different time zones, and respect if the recipient(s) are out of office.
Doing so ensures your recipient(s) sees your message when they are most apt to respond, avoids negative impacts to work/life harmony, and still allows you to send the message when you are thinking about it. - An added bonus is you can leverage this practice to follow-up with your teammates ("I'll check-in with you on Friday"; why wait until Friday? Schedule the message now to send on Friday).
